I miss you all very much and I have loved seeing you all on Zoom, and it is great to see that are all doing so well. I look forward to seeing you all again very soon. Here is some of my news from last week. My husband John and my Children, Katie and Kyle have been very busy growing are own vegetable garden. First we planted some seeds in the pots and kept them in the house until they grew nice and big and then we transferred them to the garden. Now we have our own vegetable patch and we hope to have carrots, peas and beetroot very soon. Katie and Kyle have been taking good care of them and they have been watering them every day. We also did some painting in the garden and we hung them on the washing line to dry. Saturday we went to our local park and had a Teddy bear’s picnic, Kyle and Katie brought their favourite Teddy’s and we all had a lovely picnic and we all rolled down the hills, we had great fun. Crafts at homeJustin has been busy at home with lots of crafts and work. Love the pictures being sent in! We will definitely be using the lego print idea when we get back to school. Sensory soupIldi has made a really nice video about a sensory activity called "sensory soup" - it might be something you would enjoy trying at home. Thanks Ildi! Fundamental movement skillsPhysical activity is so important right now for maintaining physical and mental health. Here is a lovely resource for working on the fundamental movement skills we would be developing in school. The link below has a short video about the fundamental skills of throwing, running, jumping, balancing and catching. There is a short video about the key elements of each skill and then three activities to help develop those skills. It might be a nice idea to pick a skill and work on it by doing one of the three suggested activities each day.
