Hello all - we hope you're doing well this week! We hope, if you've had a chance to think about Intercultural May that you're enjoying a few activities around your chosen country or culture. We might share a few examples of things you might find fun and interesting. Just a reminder that if you'd like to share any news with us we would love to add it to the blog! You can email [email protected] or [email protected] if there's anything you'd like to share! Zoom circle timesIt's great to see you guys at circle time - thanks so much for joining in and making it so much fun! It's not the same as being all together in school but it's the next best thing and it gives us all such a lift to see everybody smiling and joining in! The times for daily zoom events are below and login details will be shared via Aladdin and Google Classroom on the day. We had so much fun yesterday running off to find different hats to wear at the end! Well done guys - you had us all smiling and laughing! Food desensitisationWell done if you've been working on any sensory food activities at home - this is a really important step in helping children accept unfamiliar foods and broaden their preferences. We had been working through different food textures in a structured way and we have a really fun activity for this week - gloop! Gloop is made by mixing cornflour and water together to get a thick liquid. It's a really fun activity because it doesn't feel like other liquids - the more you squeeze gloop, the harder it becomes. When you pinch it in your fingers it is nearly solid but if you relax your fingers, it rolls away like a liquid!
As in previous weeks, you can incorporate cups or other containers to include concepts about capacity, or add preferred toys to the activity. You can also add a drop of food colouring to make different colours! Comments are closed.
